Based on the idea of perturbation analysis, the finite volume method (FVM) is used to study the nonlinear layered phononic crystals. The results show that single solitary waves and double solitary waves of the first kind are stable, but no other stable forms of multiple solitary waves are found. linear layered are introduced into the system to change the width, number and velocity of the soliton waves. We find that if the solitary wave in the nonlinear layered phononic crystal encounters a low impedance linear homogeneous medium, most of the energy will propagate through the interface and the waveform becomes smoother; when it encounters a high impedance linear homogeneous medium, most of the energy will be reflected by the interface. Based on this, a nonlinear phononic crystal bound cavity is designed to capture the energy carried by nonlinear elastic waves.
