Abstract: Since the working device of dozer impacts working medium directly, the working device is prone to be broken. To compile load spectrum of the working device, the representative data and positions of measurement need to be determined before collecting data. A dozer bulldozing soil is modeled by co-simulation in this paper. The kinematics of a dozer, soil models and the hydraulic system are modeled by using RecurDyn, EDEM and AMESim, respectively. The blade is modeled as flexible body so that the working load is delivered to each component of the working device accurately. Physical experiments are conducted to correct the modeling parameters. Then, one classical working condition is generated according to working history of dozers. Meanwhile, three classical soil models, including the clay, sandy and gravel soil are created according to the properties of soil. After that, three virtual maneuvers are conducted to output the responses of working device during bulldozing soil. The reaction forces of each joint, the oil pressure and strain of push frames are measured. Finally, the representative data and positions of measurement are figured out by using mathematical statistics. Additionally, the loads of clay, sandy and gravel soil in classical working condition are obtained, and these data can be used to compile the load spectrum. This research lays an important foundation for compiling load spectrum of dozers.
